Brixton Market Traders Federation
Brixton Market Traders Federation is a community market run by local traders. It's on a wide pedestrianised road near the tube, a street with bars and cafes. A Place to go for foods from around the world. You'll find Europe, India, Asia, Africa, South America
Brixton Station Road Market is an organisation of Mutual Concern. We don't have shareholders. In order to support our members and the local community, we work. That's why we're working pro bono in support of the Brixton Market Rose Voucher project. This allows low-income parents with young children to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables while building the skills and trust to give the healthiest start to their families.
What locals say about Brixton Market:

"Loved it such a variety of products and good food and service."
"Great selection of herbs and spices as well as being about the only place I can get fresh curry leaf locally"
"All the seasonings, meat and produce you could ever need is available in Brixton Market"
At Brixton Market, traders do not need to have a licensed company, but if stallholders have someone assisting on a market day, they must have public liability insurance and employer's liability insurance. Traders operating a food stall must also have the food hygiene certificate required, a "Level 2" in food hygiene. If any food preparation is carried out away from the stall, those premises must be registered for hygiene inspection with the local authority and issued with a certificate.
